If you take the whole and fasten it together, you are summing up something and creating an overview of it.
総括 is a formal word you'll often come across in official meetings or reports. It means pulling together and summing up scattered bits of information — sometimes for a simple overview, like a department budget report, but more often for the sake of evaluating results and planning a future direction.
This is a jukugo word that uses the on'yomi readings of the kanji. You should be able to read this on your own.
