Okay, so you guess but you also kind of know. You can make an inference as to what the answer is... You're not 100% sure, but you think you know, even though you're guessing.
This is a jukugo word, which usually means on'yomi readings from the kanji. You know the 察 part, although it gets shortened to さっ here. You didn't learn 知's on'yomi when you learned the kanji, though, so here's a mnemonic to help you with it:
One inference everyone can make is that you probably want to eat some cheese (ち). Seriously, it's written all over your face. You can try to hide it, but everyone saw how hot and bothered you just got in the dairy section. It doesn't take a mind-reader to sense how bad you're jonesing for some cheese.
彼女は危険察知能力が高い。
She is very good at sensing danger.
彼は上司のイライラを察知し、出来るだけ近づかないようにしました。
He sensed his boss's frustration and stayed as far away from him as possible.
ビエトと手下たちは、警察の手入れがあることを事前に察知していたようだ。
Viet and his foot soldiers seemed to have sensed that the police would raid them.
